Back again...

Breaking the silence after about 8 years with the Norwegian Group.

The financial situation and on top of it COVID 19, forced me to resign and find other ways to support my living.

After 9 month I got the opportunity to join Boeing Korea in Seoul, which I accepted.

At the moment I am in to my 7th day of 14 in quaranteen at a hotel provided by the government. I have to say it is ok, but food is limited and cold, good for you waste, but I am hungry.

Most of the time is spend in front of the computer, studying and watching some TV.

Looking forward to get out of here...

B787 Transition SEA

Day 1 was to be a long one.
Wake up at 04.45, gym at 05.00, breakfast(2 eggs and cerial) at the hotel, then off to Boeing Traning Center.
Fingerprinted for TSA and some paperwork.
Introduction before lunch by Cpt Greg Calmes, then started up the CBT finnished day 2 before 17.00.
Headed back to the hotel, quick dinner and now bed time.

LAX-ICN

20 May 2012
After close to 24 hrs break in LAX we boarded KE012 a passenger flight bound for Seoul Incheon.
Flight time today close to 12 hrs and the route was the normal one north towards Alaska and west to Kamtjatka south over Japan. Double crew makes it easier.
Another day at the office nothing eventful outs side the ordinary.

GRU - LAX

I thought this would be a short flight about 9-10 hrs, I was wrong...11hrs 46 min.

Deadheading all the way with our B777. slept only 30 min, but got a lot of work done. Had also time to watch a couple of movies...

Stayed in LAX just short of 24 hrs, had the favorite salad at American Pizza and spend some time at the pool.

Briefing before departure

Sao Paulo, Brazil

First of all Brazil is a very beautiful country.
After flying over Amazonas and all the agriculture areas, you are stunned.
Anyhow, had a great day i Sao Paulo.
Started off with a mediocre breakfast, well what can you get for 14 USD...2 hours at the pool, 40 min at the Fitness center, quick shower, shave and coffee.
Metro to the closest station to the racetrack (Jockey Club Sao Paulo).

Managed to get their, only 30 min walk.
Entered the "backside" stable entrance, and thought: This wan't work.
But the guard at the gate, had no clue what I was talking about (I used words as Caballo, Amigo, visito?, race, Sueco etc). So, he let me go in and visit mi amigos.
Fantastic place, great atmosphere, nice horses, handlers the lot, not to mention the buildings.
Thought I could walk to the spectators corner, but that didn't work. So I had to leave the same way I got in and walk around the whole track. Nice walk with some interesting views, pat some street hookers on the way.
Finally in to the Grand Stands, spectacular. Then home by taxi.

MIA-VCP

Rise and shine at 02.00, pickup at 0300 and transportation in the rain to the cargo side of Miami Intl.
Short briefing, check the cargo, briefing, checklist etc then takeoff finally from RWY 27.
Heavy thunder storms rolling in over the field. The rainy season has started in Miami.
Heading south licking the east border of Cuba straight over Port ae Prince in to Venezuela and straight down to Sao Paulo. An uneventful flight.

After arrival we were transported to downtown Sao Paulo and the hotel. tried to get a nice steak, but that's impossible before 19.00 in this country...

MAY 2012

My resignation Monday the 14th May resulted in a schedule change as I was taken off the simulator late this month and some flights were added, I guess they want to drain me to the last drop...
So this month ended up to be pretty busy (12-31 May):
CPH-ICN-GMP-CJU-GMP-ICN-ANC-MIA-VCP-GRU-LAX-ICN-KUL-ICN-VIE-OSL-ICN-SEA
Wich means: Copenhagen-Seoul ICN-Seoul GMP-Jeju Island-Seoul GMP-Seoul ICN-Anchorage-Miami-Campinas Brazil-Guarulhos Brazil (Sao Paulo)-LosAngeles-Seoul-Kualalumpur-Seoul-Wienna-Oslo-Seoul-Seattle, then back to Seoul and home the 3rd of June...I hope.
